You are invited to enter this year’s Sheffield Short Story Competition. To enter, write a short story of 1000 words or less. The story should be original and previously unpublished. The theme is Secrets and Lies with a Sheffield setting and can be written in any genre. Entrants must be 16 years and over. One entry per person. Entry cost £5/£2

Magic Pen Sheffield Short Story Competition
The Magic Pen Competition is a category of the Sheffield Short Story Competition for people with learning disabilities.
Stories can be up to 500 words long but as short as you want. Your story needs to be typed up but this can be done by a friend, family member or carer. Your story must be on the theme of Secrets and Lies with a Sheffield setting in any genre.
The entry fee is £5/£2 per story. You may enter up to TWO stories. Entrants must be 16 years and over. T

The winners of both competitions will be announced at an event held in Western Bank Library, University of Sheffield, Western Bank, Sheffield S10 2TN on 17 October from 6.30pm. There will be a prize to be announced for each of the winners. The entry fee gives you access to this event. Non-entrants are welcome to join us.
