Blood Feather

Patrick McGuinness in conversation with Professor Charles Mundye

Tuesday 17 October 2023, 18:00 at Performance Lab

In his new collection of poetry, a Financial Times Summer Read 2023, Patrick McGuinness plays with time and the ghosts of the past, personal and collective.  He examines new identities forged by bilingualism and pays homage to his mother – herself displaced between languages.  Patrick is the author of three poetry collections, two novels and a non-fiction book about place, time and memory.  He is Professor of French and Comparative Literature at St Anne’s College, Oxford and Honorary Professor at Sheffield Hallam University.

“The balance, charm and wit of the writing are remarkable” The Guardian
