In a series of exercises, Daljit will invite you to consider new ways to write lyric poetry but with a fun modern twist. We will seek inspiration from the American lyric, from visual forms as well as finding ways to reinvent forms that are so familiar they have become predictable. The aim will be to write exciting new poems that are immediate yet fresh, and constantly surprising for their engagement of form with content.

This session is ideally aimed at intermediate and experienced writers though all are welcome.
