Over three episodes, Professor Joanna Gavins talks to experts from a range of different academic disciplines to try to understand how plastic became such an integral part of modern life, how we came to have over 10 million tons of plastic polluting our oceans every year, and how academic research might help us live with plastics more responsibly and more sustainably.
