Writing and Place

Kerry Hudson, Helen Mort and Anita Sethi

Sunday 13 October 2024, 15:00 at University Drama Studio

£9/£7

Location breathes life into stories. A strong sense of place helps readers to make the imaginative leap into another world. Kerry Hudson whose book Lowborn explored where she came from, looks at why place is important for a writer. She is joined by Anita Sethi, who wrote of her journey through the landscapes of the North in I Belong Here and Helen Mort whose books Division Street and Black Car Burning are a love letter to Sheffield and the landscape that surrounds it.

Guest curated by Kerry Hudson
