Honoured – Naz Shah

Naz Shah’s powerful memoir Honoured is an unflinching account of resilience, justice and public service, charting Shah’s extraordinary journey from childhood trauma to national political life. Born and raised in Bradford, Shah was sent to Pakistan aged 12 to escape her mother’s violent abuser. After her mother was imprisoned for killing her abuser, Shah and her siblings began campaigning for her mother’s release, an early sign of the advocacy that would come to define her life.

In Honoured, Naz reveals how growing up against almost impossible odds lit the fire that still drives her today.  This is an inspiring story of survival, faith and political awakening that charts the making of an activist determined to stand up and speak out.
